Erosia and The Axis

Post by Fate I »

Erosia is a decaying ghost of a town, far removed from any semblance of civilization. Nestled in the most isolated corner of the planet, it serves as a port town to Point Nemo, the oceanic pole of inaccessibility. The location is nearly impossible to find unless one knows precisely where to look, hidden by the endless stretches of ocean that surround it.

The town itself is a wasteland of derelict buildings, their walls crumbling and roofs caved in. Streets are narrow, twisted paths of broken cobblestones, choked with debris and overrun by nature reclaiming what was once hers. The few inhabitants who call this forsaken place home are a mix of criminals, outcasts, and those with a penchant for the wicked. The air is thick with the scent of salt, rust, and decay, as if the very atmosphere is rotting alongside the town.

But amidst the ruin and desolation stands a single structure, The Axis, an awe-inspiring marvel that defies the town’s decrepit surroundings. Towering above the other buildings, it is a mega-structure of impossible design, created through the arcane art of Spatial Masonry. The Axis is a labyrinth of infinite space, a paradox of architecture where each room can be more expansive than the last, with dimensions folding and unfolding into one another in a dance of spatial manipulation.

The exterior of The Axis is pristine, gleaming with an otherworldly shine that contrasts starkly with the decay around it. It exudes an aura of dark luxury, drawing the most decadent and devilish souls from across the world. Inside, The Axis is a paradise of vice and excess, filled with rooms that cater to every forbidden desire. The walls are adorned with rich, dark woods, gilded edges, and intricate carvings that seem to shift and change depending on the viewer’s perspective.

Lavish gambling halls stretch into infinity, their tables always full of those willing to wager their fortunes and souls. The air is heavy with the scent of opulence, cigars, and exotic perfumes, and the soft, mesmerizing melodies of unseen orchestras echo through the halls. The floors are a rich blend of marble and gold, leading to rooms where dancers, draped in nothing but veils of light, perform for an audience that never tires.

The patrons of The Axis are the world’s most corrupt and powerful, men and women who have built their fortunes on the suffering of others. Here, they find a sanctuary from the outside world, a place where their darkest desires can be indulged without consequence. In The Axis, the normal rules of reality do not apply—time bends, and space shifts, allowing the wicked to lose themselves in a maze of infinite pleasure and depravity.

Erosia, and The Axis within it, is a place of stark contrasts—a decaying town at the edge of the world, harboring a single structure of unimaginable wealth and sin. It is a destination for those who seek to escape the prying eyes of society, a hidden port where the truly malevolent find refuge and indulgence, far from the reach of justice or morality.
