Unpacking

Post by Axel Gobetsu »

Getting back into his apartment was refreshing, locking the multiple locks behind him and tapped each plant with enough water naten to stay alive before he went to his second room that was hidden by a bookshelf transformation of the door. A wave of ganja fragrance swarmed his nostrils and he was reminded much this feeling meant to him. It a was a farm of three hydroponic towers that grew marijuana to the ceiling, a technique that he learned at Sontmano. He was reminded of it as he took the time to thoroughly pack up his equipment.

They trusted Axel after bringing back the weapons that were swiped during the transaction and they brought him around to provide help even just with security for their situation. On an oversized island not far off the mainland is where they had set up their organization, a multitude of greenhouses were set up to research and develop ways to increase food cultivation in the climate of impending doom. Simultaneously being a food bank that profited off of their scientific and magical research, a highly technical facility based off the biggest port on the island that connected to acres of farmland and the small village of employees and scientists.

Axels arrival came with an upgrade to their security force, a welcome visitor amidst the increasingly violent culture that was inflicting society. It hadn’t hindered any of their business so far, it appeared they were just glad to be more armed. The focus of this organization was to make sure the farmlands of Vescrutia had the upper hand when it came to radiation poisoning, droughts, famine, and the multitudes of creatures and insects that were altering their migration patterns all over the planet. From fertilizers to cloud seeders and insect repellants this amalgamation of magical and scientific minds provided the world, or whoever could reach them, the means to harvest the fruits of their labor.

As Axel packed the various tools and equipment he was using to cultivate the plants he remembered all the automated technology the company was using. They had even let him drive a few a their harvesters, he fell so in tune with the machine he began to imagine the ripping, stalking, and seeding of every plant he saw for weeks. Before long he was going through their archives looking for the circuitry that plagued him, the diagrams of electronics that constructed the massive machines. He had never seen anything like it, heavy machinery was brand new to the ninja and he was entranced by the energy dancing within them.

Still the temptation of THC being a product in stock for either market or research was too tantalizing for the ambitious young man. The woman that he had dealt with initially was Kyra and while she didn’t know his real name they got to know each other in every other way. His smoking habits were humorous to her but she indulged to him the research that her company was working on concerning it. It revolved around every form of the product, the oils, the hemp, even the pollen. The company had used many of the resilient genes of the plant for other makeup’s but Axel had dug deep enough to find the prototype of its best genetic makeup.

This led Axel to realize they were losing more half of their profit margin to their ethical code. They wouldn’t produce this in their rollouts simply because they wanted to keep a certain look in their community. Even though they had the means to reengineer the face of medicine on this planet. Their genetic research opened up the door on numerous exotic plants and their benefits, they could combine them with different alchemy and sorcery methods but instead they stuck to the crops they could mass produce to their desired market.
